LXIII. session of the Academic Assembly of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic
In order to profit from science, it is necessary to create the best possible conditions for it – otherwise, we cannot expect “miracles” from research institutions. The actors of LXIII agreed on this. meeting of the Academic Assembly of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, which took place on April 16, 2024 in the Prague National House Vinohrady. Not only according to the leadership of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, but also the politicians who spoke at the meeting, we should therefore increase institutional funding and more significantly support the transfer of results into practice.
The 63rd session hosted scientists, directors of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, as well as representatives of universities, state authorities, industry and trade. Other important guests included the Minister for Science, Research and Innovation Helena Langšádlová, deputy chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic and former chairman of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic Jiří Drahoš, first vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Věra Kovářová and deputy chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Karel Havlíček.
The Academic Assembly of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic meets twice a year. At the next meeting on December 10, 2024, a new head of the institution will be elected to replace Eva Zažímalová in the chair. This session will take place again in the National House Vinohrady.
